What is the Great Migration?
The Great Migration is a year-round natural phenomenon in which vast numbers of mammals — primarily wildebeest, gazelles, and zebras — move across the Serengeti ecosystem in search of fresh food and water. The migration is driven largely by rainfall, which makes its exact movements difficult to predict.
