You will be picked up in Arusha and transferred to Lake Manyara National Park.
We will arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. After lunch, you will head out for an afternoon game drive in Lake Manyara National Park.
This park is one of Tanzania’s most scenically spectacular wildlife areas. It is centered around a vast but shallow soda lake, which covers approximately two-thirds of the park, set beneath the dramatic escarpment of the western Great Rift Valley.
The park’s diverse habitats support a wide variety of wildlife, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, the famous tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, and large flocks of flamingos attracted by the algae-rich waters of the lake.
Dinner and overnight accommodation will be arranged according to the selected accommodation standard and category.
Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner
Transfer Time (excluding game drive): 6 hours
Distance: 205 km
After breakfast, we travel through the beautiful highland farmlands around Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Serengeti National Park. Along the way, we will stop at Olduvai Gorge, known as the “Cradle of Mankind,” where the Leakey family discovered fossils of Homo habilis dating back approximately 1.75 million years.
We will arrive in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive in the heart of the Serengeti, one of the world’s most famous wildlife migration corridors.
As the afternoon unfolds, with vast open plains, brilliant blue skies, and a landscape teeming with life, you will discover why the legendary Serengeti represents the timeless dream of “old Africa.” Large prides of lions may be found resting lazily in the tall grass, while elephant families browse on acacia bark and communicate across the plains. Giraffes, gazelles, monkeys, wildebeest, and many other African wildlife species can be seen in remarkable numbers.
Dinner and overnight accommodation will be arranged in the Seronera area, according to the selected accommodation standard and category.

For those looking for an unforgettable experience, you can take a hot-air balloon flight over the Serengeti Plains (available at an additional cost and by prior arrangement). Gently drifting above the awakening bush, you can enjoy breathtaking African scenery while spotting wildlife from the air, with views stretching across rivers and scattered settlements.
After a relaxed morning and brunch, you will continue your safari toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, your driver-guide will continue sharing insights into Tanzania’s wildlife, landscapes, and natural heritage, pointing out animals and interesting features of the surrounding environment.
You will spend the evening on the crater rim, enjoying the spectacular surroundings of Ngorongoro Crater. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be arranged in the Ngorongoro area according to the selected accommodation standard and category.

Our final day begins early. With a packed picnic lunch, we descend approximately 2,000 feet into the crater floor in a 4×4 safari vehicle for an unforgettable game drive. It is time to explore this remarkable natural wonder.
Ngorongoro Crater is a vast and deep volcanic caldera. With a year-round supply of water and abundant grazing, the crater supports an impressive variety of wildlife, including herds of wildebeest and zebra, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and magnificent African elephants.
Another major attraction of this spectacular wildlife area is its rich population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and elusive leopards, which can sometimes require a trained eye to spot.
We will also visit Lake Magadi, a large, shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner of the crater and one of its most prominent features. The lake is often home to large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and other waterbirds.
In the late afternoon, we will drive back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your lodge, hotel, or airport.
