Overview
Our compact 3-day Northern Tanzania safari offers an incredible wildlife experience for travelers with limited time. This carefully crafted itinerary covers three iconic destinations: Tarangire National Park, rich in elephants, Lake Manyara, a paradise for birds, and the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.
Ngorongoro Crater has the densest wildlife population in Africa. Here, wildlife thrives in this self-contained ecosystem, presenting an awe-inspiring spectacle of African fauna.
Next, we explore Lake Manyara, known for its spectacular location along the steep slopes of the Great Rift Valley. The highlight of the park is its vast but shallow soda lake, which attracts a variety of wildlife against a stunning backdrop.
Finally, Tarangire National Park awaits you, with excellent concentrations of wildlife, second only to Ngorongoro Crater. This little-known gem offers pristine, untouched wilderness and is a paradise for nature lovers.
Thanks to their size and biodiversity, these selected parks make an ideal choice for a shorter but immersive safari.

Itinerary
Meet our professional guide/driver in Arusha, who will give a short safari briefing, after which we head to Lake Manyara National Park. We arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. After lunch we set out for Lake Manyara National Park. This impressive park is one of Tanzania's most geographically striking wildlife areas, made up of a huge but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the western escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. The park's diverse habitats attract a wide range of animals, including one of Africa's largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara's famous tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos drawn by the algae in the lake.
Dinner and overnight are arranged according to the standard and accommodation type requested.
After breakfast, we descend 600 meters into this magnificent crater for a morning half-day game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is one of the densest concentrations of African wildlife in the world, home to around 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania's last remaining black rhinos. Supported by year-round water and forage, the crater sustains a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos and huge African elephants. Another major attraction of this scenic national park is its dense predator population, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the elusive leopard, which sometimes require a trained eye to spot. We will have a picnic lunch in the crater, then continue to Tarangire National Park.
Dinner and overnight are arranged according to the standard and accommodation type requested.
After breakfast, we head to Tarangire National Park for a morning game drive. The park stretches along the Tarangire River and consists mainly of low hills on the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Its natural vegetation is mostly acacia woodland and giant African baobab trees, with large swamp areas in the south. During Tanzania's dry season, both the river and the swamps attract wildlife like magnets. Tarangire National Park is famous for having Africa's largest herds of elephants. This African national park is also home to three rare animals: the greater kudu, the fringe-eared oryx and a few yellow-collared lovebirds. We return to the lodge for lunch, then drive to Arusha, ending our African safari adventure. Groups should tip the guide about $20 per day for all of our safari tours. You will be dropped off at your hotel, which marks the end of our safari package services.
