 Verified The experience of a lifetime
My wife and I recently enjoyed a safari in mainland Tanzania followed by a few relaxing days in Zanzibar, and the entire trip was fantastic—thanks in large part to our outstanding tour company, Wildbud Safari / African Savannah Trekkers. They truly went the extra mile to make sure we felt comfortable, supported, and safe throughout the journey. While planning the trip, we changed our preferences several times, but they handled every update smoothly and without any issues. Once we arrived for the safari, it was obvious they had fully understood what we were hoping for. They also checked in with us each day to see what we were enjoying and whether anything could be improved, and they were always easy to contact whenever we needed them. On one of the mornings, just after we set out, I unfortunately developed a stomach bug. They responded immediately by arranging an early check-in and a visit to the hospital, even though rest was all I really needed. Their quick response and genuine concern made a big impression on us. We had a wonderful experience overall, and I would gladly recommend them to anyone considering a similar trip.

 Verified Exceeding expectations
We’ve been on safaris in about 6 other countries. We chose African Savannah Trekkers because we wanted to travel with a Tanzanian owned and run tour company with Tanzanian staff. We wanted a private trip with our group of 3 and that our itinerary was fully customizable including the parks we visited, where we stayed, and all the daily activities. Communication with the office staff was thorough, prompt, and friendly, which made the process of planning our trip enjoyable and sending payment online less nerve-racking. Our guide was a safe, ethical driver, friendly, knew a lot about the parks and animals when asked, and was great at showing us different areas of the parks and finding awesome wildlife encounters. Overall, I’m very pleased with our trip and only wish we could stay longer! Tanzania is an incredible country and having spent a lot of time in southern Africa I was so impressed with the country’s dedication managing the parks ethically from a conservation and tourism perspective and employing & empowering their own people to care for everything. Family and I did 3 1/2 days in Tanzania and seven in Kenya. African Savannah Trekkers co-chair with Kenya company Plentiful Adventures and it was a perfect fit. The drivers of each company made sure we made it across the land border with ease. Tanzania is an amazing country with animals in the Serengiti as far as the eye can see. Our driver Noel was very knowledgeable about the terrain and animals. He also had an eagle eye to spot the Big 5. We will truly never forget the experiences we had in Tanzania and would choose this company for our next adventure in Tanzania.

Wonderful experience! We were able to see lots of animals and get to know a bit of African culture. Eli was an amazing guide who offered us a lot of knowledge and kindfulness. Completely recommended. We visited Serengeti park and Ngorongoro crater spotting a huge variety of animals. African Trekkers offers an exclusive and splendid service, the car was in perfect condition.

Thoroughly enjoyed our 6days in Tanzania as arranged by Philo. She was with us every step of the way from planning stage till the day we sadly departed. It was a tricky time because of the unrest but Philo’s calm & straightforward manner gave us the confidence to go ahead with our plans. Everything was perfection. Our driver guide John went beyond usual to give us best experience. We got to see a super pride, leopard, climbing lion, flamingoes, and so many more. Exceeding expectations! African Svannah Trekkers provided excellent support and help from start to finish. This was a very special trip for us and it needed to be just right the African Savannah Trekkers team was extremely responsive and helped us get what we wanted. When we arrived at the airport we were immediately greeted by our guide who took us to our first hotel. The next day we started our 8 day safari with our guide who was absolutely superb; highly knowledgeable, interesting and above all caring and considerate an understanding of all our needs. All the accommodation was very good with several of the lodges being superb with views of elephants, buffalo and other wild animals from the balconies. It was sad to leave but I know we will be back soon. We would very highly recommend this operator as a great company for a life time safari experience.

 Verified Wonderful 4 Days
We had a wonderful experience with African Savannah Trekkers and our guide Elisante (John). We were met by Elisante at the Kenya/Tanzania border and then spent 4 days exploring Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. The vehicle was comfortable for long days and Elisante was an excellent guide. It is very clear that he has been doing this for over 15 years and knows these parks like the back of his hand. He helped us get amazing animal sightings and was able to get us right up close to the action. The lodges we stayed at were beautiful with top notch service. Very clear and constant communication throughout our experience and very good value for the money.

I went to Tanzania this summer for a safari. I really enjoyed being surrounded by nature and was delighted to see some of Africa's most famous animals. Thanks to Elisante, who drove for miles without ever getting tired.
