Itinerary

Day 1Arrival in Entebbe

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our team and transferred to your comfortable hotel in Entebbe. Take some time to rest and recover from your journey, or if time permits, explore the scenic surroundings of Lake Victoria. Enjoy a welcome dinner and briefing about your upcoming safari adventure.

Day 2Entebbe to Murchison Falls National Park

After an early breakfast, embark on a road journey to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and one of its most iconic parks. En route, visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you can track rhinos on foot. Continue your drive to the park and check in at your lodge, strategically located for stunning views of the Nile River.

Day 3Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari

Rise early for a thrilling morning game drive in the northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Keep your camera ready to capture sightings of elephants, giraffes, buffalos, lions, and various antelope species. Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation.

In the afternoon, embark on a boat safari on the Nile River. Witness the mighty Murchison Falls, where the Nile forces its way through a narrow gorge, creating a spectacular waterfall. Along the riverbanks, you’ll spot numerous hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. This boat safari is a remarkable wildlife viewing experience. Day 4Game Drive and Transfer to Kibale Forest

Another early start for a game drive in the Budongo Forest sector of the park, known for its chimpanzee population. Besides chimps, you may also encounter other primates and wildlife. After the game drive, proceed to Kibale Forest National Park, famous for its primate diversity.

Day 5Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale

Today, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to track habituated chimpanzees in Kibale Forest. As you trek through the lush forest, you’ll also come across various other primates and a multitude of bird species. The encounter with chimpanzees, our closest relatives, is a truly captivating experience.

In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation project. Here, you can spot unique bird species and learn about local conservation efforts. Return to your lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 6:Queen Elizabeth National Park - Ishasha Sector

Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most famous savannah reserve. Upon arrival, head to the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive in search of these unique big cats as well as other wildlife.

Day 7: Game Drives and Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Embark on an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its diverse wildlife, including elephants, buffalos, leopards, and numerous bird species. Return to your lodge for breakfast and relaxation.

In the afternoon, experience a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This boat trip offers incredible opportunities to observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of waterfowl and shorebirds. It’s a birdwatcher’s paradise.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth National Park - Mweya Sector

Drive to the Mweya sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, characterized by vast open savannahs and panoramic views of the Rwenzori Mountains. Enjoy a game drive in this section of the park, seeking out the resident wildlife.

Day 9: Kyambura Gorge Chimpanzee Trek and Transfer to Bwindi

Start your day with a thrilling chimpanzee trek in Kyambura Gorge, a sunken forested valley in Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here, you may encounter a habituated chimpanzee community and other primates.

In the afternoon, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The scenic drive takes you through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions. Arrive in Bwindi and settle into your lodge located near the gorilla trekking trail.

Day 10: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

The highlight of your safari awaits as you embark on a once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Under the guidance of experienced trackers and rangers, trek through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family.

When you encounter these gentle giants, you’ll have the opportunity to observe their behavior and capture incredible photos. The encounter is both humbling and exhilarating, making it a memory you’ll cherish forever.

After the gorilla trek, return to your lodge for a well-deserved rest. In the evening, enjoy a traditional cultural performance by the local community, showcasing their music, dance, and storytelling.

Day 11: Return to Entebbe and Departure

Bid farewell to Bwindi and drive back to Entebbe, taking in the scenic beauty of Uganda’s landscapes along the way. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have some free time to relax or explore Entebbe before your international flight.
